David Leckenby, born in Australia and now residing in London, is a classical trained guitar player who later became part of the Melbourne electronic dance scene. He is one of the most interesting trance artists ('trance' in the truest sense of the word) and makes simply beautiful and inspiring electronic music. He continued to develop his sound, whilst he self-released and promoted his own work, initially while working full time in the fitness industry, and then in the world of information technology as a software tester.
During this time many of David’s tracks have been used in films, DVDs, seminars, web media, mainstream radio and live performances. Recently, his music has been picked up by Sonoton productions for worldwide release. In 2009 CandyRush Records have signed him to their label with the release of a full-length album, EP and remix album. He has been interviewed for the very popular Spacemusic podcast, with a special tribute podcast based entirely on his productions aired mid 2009. In 2010 he will be busy in the studio creating music for media, collaborating with folk singer Barbara J Hunt on the Future One Project, and pushing to develop further the beautiful, intricate and hypnotic soundscapes that he is known for.
